Here are some Office-related books I have found useful:

bulletMicrosoft Press
Access 2002 Inside-Out (Helen Feddema) ISBN 0-73561-283-8
Thorough coverage of Access 2002, for end users and programmers -- lots of step-by-steps and code samples, plus a CD with sample databases and add-ins. The book is also useful for Office 2000 and 2003 users, since the core components of Access (tables, queries, forms, reports, macros and modules) have remained virtually unchanged from Access 2000 to Access 2003. Office 2000 versions of the book's databases can be downloaded from the Downloads page of this Web site.

This book was selected by a distinguished panel of industry experts at the Waterside 2004 conference as the #1 book in the Desktop and Office Applications category.

Microsoft Office 97/Visual Basic Language Reference ISBN 1-57231-339-0
An indispensable reference for Office developers, although handicapped by not documenting the VBScript dialect used in Outlook
Building Applications with Microsoft Outlook 2000 (Randy Byrne) ISBN 0-73560-581-5
This is a much more substantial book than the earlier editions.  Lots of useful information for developing Outlook applications, using both VBS and VBA, but mostly concentrating on VBS.  Also covers creating COM Add-ins

The book concentrates on this book writing VBA code to connect the components of a database into a functioning, coherent application.
